The first five years of a child’s life represent the golden period of development, and between three and five years of age, children continue to grow rapidly.Little Tones understands this. It takes the right incremental steps to ensure structured, age-appropriate and fruitful lessons over the course of 4 Levels, spanning 2 years.The Color-Method Levels I & II are the roots of music education, an investment for future learning. Absorb music fundamentals while developing social skills through fun, collaborative activities and performances.Continuing to Levels III & IV, students advance from playing percussions to the keyboard and learn more of the rudiments of music. Read and write black-and-white music notation, and already impress by playing it on the keyboard!The progressive lessons of Little Tones ease the transition to learning an instrument, as students have already acquired a strong general knowledge of music that will be applied to any future instrument studies. With that in mind, besides the use of colors, each pitch/note in the Little Tones program is also represented by a particular character. Hence, the 7 characters to accompany our young children as a world of creative music learning unfolds before them. Meet Daisy, who always sparks joy, or Gary, the playful one!
MORE THAN DO RE MI
Little Tones uses a set of handbells as the first pitched instrument. Don’t be fooled by the look of it: Playing in a handbell ensemble requires focus, teamwork, listening skills, and a sense of beat, to name a few. Students are trained to stay focused listening to the music and teammates, memorize their notes and wait for their turn to play the bells. The skills acquired in playing a handbell ensemble are fundamental not just in future music studies, but also many aspects of life.Students are also taught to play the resonator bar. Why this instrument? Hitting particular bars precisely trains motor skills and eye-hand coordination. Students are trained to play one bar/note at a time (out of eight) with proper rhythm and tempo. This is not an easy task for 3- to 4-year-old children!As for non-pitched instruments, students get to create various rhythmic patterns and explore the different sounds of wooden sticks, shakers, plastic buckets, etc.From the “colored” method of Levels I & II, students advance to the black-and-white note reading and writing on the grand staff in Levels III & IV. Our students enjoy these note reading and writing drills, too, as our fun and unique hands-on approach helps them retain this knowledge easily! Levels III & IV students also learn to play the keyboard. This combines memory and concentration skills, muscle memory training, confidence boosts and musical abilities -- all in one package.Let every young child shine!

Kids at the age of 3-5 are curious, unconstrained and absorbent. It's the ideal age for learning music and they benefit the most from a group class setting.Group classes offer a learning environment that individual lessons may not, such as learning from peers by playing music together and by listening to each other.They also allow young children room for personal expression and developing social and communication skills.Our activities are stimulating and engaging. They organically build or train the confidence, discipline and sense of responsibility and teamwork that will serve our students well in life.The excitement and joy of sharing a stage with one's peers, performing as a real team, is a special experience that a young child will always remember fondly!

Berapa murid di satu kelas?
4-8 murid.Berapa lamakah durasi satu pertemuan?
60 menit per pertemuan, seminggu sekali.Ada berapa pertemuan dalam sebulan?
Setiap level Little Tones terdiri dari 20 pertemuan yang biasanya selesai dalam waktu 6 bulan. Jumlah pertemuan setiap bulan tergantung kalender, dari 2x - 5x per bulan. Setelah dipotong hari libur Nasional dan hari libur sekolah akan tetap ada 20 pertemuan dalam satu level.Berarti bukan 4x pertemuan dalam setiap bulan? Saya rugi dong?
Little Tones merupakan kelas musik progresif yang terdiri dari 4 level dengan 20 pertemuan per level. Walaupun di bulan tertentu murid mungkin hanya les 2-3x dalam sebulan, tidaklah mempengaruhi jumlah pertemuan per level maupun biaya per level, karena Little Tones dihitung berdasarkan paket per level, bukan per bulan. Setelah dipotong hari libur Nasional dan hari libur sekolah akan tetap ada 20 pertemuan dalam satu level, terkecuali murid yang absen.Bisakah saya meminta jadwal les yang lebih padat? Saya ingin anak saya mempunyai lebih banyak kegiatan dan lebih cepat tamat.
Bisa. Kelas bisa dijadwalkan menjadi 2x seminggu ataupun 3x seminggu tergantung ketersediaan jadwal guru dan keinginan murid lainnya.Apakah kelas akan diganti jikalau anak saya tidak hadir karena sakit atau alasan lainnya?
Karena kelas bersifat kelompok, kelas yang tidak dihadiri tidak dapat digantikan.
Namun di akhir level jika guru menilai murid perlu tambahan waktu, maka akan diberikan pelajaran tambahan sesuai dengan kebutuhan murid dan kebijakan guru. Kelas tambahan bisa berupa kelas individu ataupun kelompok dan berdurasi 15-30 menit.Apakah orangtua murid perlu mendampingi anak di kelas?
Tidak. Kelas Little Tones dirancang sesuai dengan kemampuan usia anak. Kami percaya setiap anak memiliki musikalitas dan bisa berkembang menjadi pelajar yang mandiri, tanpa pendamping.Lalu bagaimana saya bisa mengetahui perkembangan anak saya?
Di setiap akhir level, orang tua murid akan diundang untuk mengobservasi kelas. Murid juga akan diberikan Progress Report yang menunjukkan materi yang dipelajari selama 20 pertemuan tersebut.Apakah anak saya boleh coba gratis (free trial)?
Little Tones tidak menyediakan trial class (kelas coba). Namun, murid baru diizinkan mengikuti pertemuan pertama hanya dengan membayar IDR 80,000. Jikalau murid mendaftar, maka IDR 80,000 akan dipotong dari uang les.Apakah biaya les dibayar per level?
Bisa dibayar per level sekaligus maupun dijadikan cicilan per bulan.Mengapa biaya yang dibayar per level tidak lebih murah?
Karena sebenarnya biaya Little Tones dibayar per level dan kami sudah memberikan fasilitas cicilan 6x tanpa biaya tambahan.Terima kasih.

Tidak. Little Tones adalah kelas progresif dengan lesson plan tetap untuk setiap pertemuan. Artinya, bahan akan bertambah banyak dan susah dari pertemuan ke pertemuan.Loh? Saya kalau beli paket spa boleh datang sesuka hati.
Maaf, kami pendidik dan ini adalah kelas musik.Kelas akan digantikan jika anak saya tidak bisa hadir?
Karena kelas bersifat kelompok dengan lesson plan tetap, kelas yang tidak dihadiri tidak dapat digantikan. Namun di akhir level jika guru menilai murid perlu tambahan waktu, maka akan diberikan pelajaran tambahan sesuai dengan kebutuhan murid dan kebijakan guru. Jika guru memiliki 30 murid dan katakanlah 10 murid bergiliran tidak hadir dalam sebulan dengan berbagai alasan, apakah guru harus menyediakan 10 jam untuk mengganti murid-murid tersebut? Kapankah guru mengajar kelas yang sesungguhnya kalau demikian?Ya sudah. Kalau begitu batalkan saja kelas yang anak saya tidak bisa hadir.
Mengapa murid lain harus dikorbankan karena kepentingan Anda? Dulu sewaktu Anda sekolah, dari TK sampai Universitas, apakah sekolah membatalkan kelas ketika Anda absen?Grup anak saya kan ada sepupu dan anak teman arisan saya. Saya ajak mereka untuk semua tidak hadir saja.

Kami tidak tau sistem tempat les lainnya. Kalau memang tidak cocok, tidak ada paksaan untuk mendaftar.Saya mau mendaftar tetapi saya mau sekolah bisa lebih fleksibel. Sekolah rugi apalah dengan hanya membatalkan atau menggantikan satu kelas!
